General of The Artisan Army

Steve was a high school drop out from a broken home in San Antonio, Texas, yet he had his own foundation repair business by age 19. He later earned a bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies and was a preacher for a short time.

Steve was mentored by the best trim and framing contractors in South Texas and and by age 25 was the lead carpenter on country singer George Strait’s house - an adobe mansion in San Antonio, Texas.

He now lives in Tampa, Florida, with his beautiful wife, four talented children and a crazy Jack Russell Terrier.

Since starting Wood Window Makeover in 2005 he has brought thousands of windows back to life across the southeastern United States and taught hundreds how to do the same.

Steve says "I have a special place in my heart for the underdog, the unexpected and the outcast, having been all of those. I want to help you learn about classic, historic wood windows."

Facts about Steve:

He had to hotwire his first car to start it.

He played guitar and sang in a thrash metal band.

He is a 3rd degree black belt in Taekwondo.

He believes windows were given to him by divine inspiration.

As of Summer, 2020 Steve still has all his fingers.
